I am a writer, curator, facilitator and multimedia conceptual and re-appropriation artist who cares deeply about creative methodologies and pathways to freedom.
My work investigates and restores the sacredness of the bodies of Black womxn, and our children, within the western canon of the divine. My curatorial, visual and performance work has been exhibited at The Whitney Museum of American Art; The Every Woman Biennial; Institute of Contemporary Art Boston; The Witte de Withe Center for Contemporary Art (Rotterdam); The Jacob Lawrence Gallery and the Seattle Art Museum among many other universities, theaters and performance venues.
In addition to curating and producing art, I create and facilitate restorative justice circles and retreats and I facilitate empowerment workshops and retreats for womxn.
